Sorry to see these pictures. Can that be repaired? I assume the hull is carbon fiber from the pictures.

Even if it could be "repaired" I wouldnt get in it and run the speeds its capable of, I would think they would salvage it for whatever can be re-used or repaired, or make a new hull, and maybe re-use the deck etc.

I don't race, (wish I could afford it) BUT WTF is up with the tow chit at races?? Do the promoters not have an agreement with tow boats???? $9000 WTF, is it just me or is it not logical to have a tow/salvage boat guy ready to go, and pay per event, needed or not??

I mean can someone help me understand??

That would make sense, but then $$$ would be based on a worst case scenario, and all teams would pay a portion of it through entry fees, therefore eliminating some of the teams with tight budgets. I know that doesnt make too much sense, but it is true, a lot of us race on a very small budget, and hope and pray that nothing happens, some teams(the ones that this seems to happen too more often) are in larger, faster, more dangerous classes and obviously have more resources $$$wise. I am not saying that I agree with the fees they charge, just that that same thought has crossed my mind many times, and this is the only reasoning I can come up with.

isn't this a semi new hull , i wonder if it was just's built to light and week to handle the power just for a few extra mph ?

We r members of Tow Boay US, and get towing free. Something like the boat sinking might be different but i dont know that for sure. I would think it would be worth looking into a membership and finding out just what u get.
