Race Members of Super Boat International May 1, 2009 Super Boat International announced last week that there are eight (8) one hour Prime Time Network shows for this year. CBS Sports Network will bring weekly offshore boat race programming to millions of race fans beginning in October. In the past Super Boat International has been on cable, but with Network there are different procedures to follow. CBS Sports Network will have a producer attending the Marathon race to work with SBIP’s TV staff. Following the Saturday morning drivers meeting in Marathon we will address the standards and practice that must be followed. Before any race boat secures sponsorship, it must come through Super Boat International for approval so there are not any conflicts. Race boats participating in Marathon – please fax your entry forms to 305-296-9770. REMINDERS National Championship - rule book page 67, Rule 2A – General Rules To be eligible for the National Championship a team must have competed in a minimum of 70 percent of the designated National Series events inclusive of the National Championship race. 70 percent of the National Races; based on the 8 race schedule equal 6 races. Kilo Run - There is a Kilo Run schedule during the Sarasota race for Friday, July 3, 2009. Information on the Kilo Run will be posted on Monday, May 4th on the SBIP web site by clicking on Events and selecting Kilo Run. The Kilo will run from 7am – 12 noon. The order of the Kilo is determined by the order of the paid entry forms received. If you have any questions, give me a call at 305-296-6166 or see me in Marathon. Can you till me what this means ?????????? Mike I heard or saw something that you recently purchased another race boat, congrats, was it another Skiff/Garvey or an offshore race boat? Best to you this season, like I told you before, you and those Skiffs put on one heck of a show. Trent |
