No offense, but giving a bonus point for teams that get thier paperwork in early is ridiculous.A points championship could be effected by this.

It really has no effect.... It actually promotes more effeciancy(sp) and allows the proper time for the promoter to promote the race properly and get articles in the paper ahead of time(which allow locals to know there is even a race as well as entice them to come out to see the show), instead of at 5pm Saturday afternoon. I swear I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, but would you rather them put out a 50 boat "wish list" and only 31 show or would you think it would benefit the association and the local promoter if they have an accurate list ahead of time?
