Y2k Owners, I Need Your Input Please
 

The engine builder wants to know how to set up the 598. (cam, compression ect..) He's concerened about planning and top speed. Are you happy with how fast it planes out? He's asking for:

HORSEPOWER
PROP PITCH
GEAR RATIO
TOP SPEED

I told him as much as I could but I want to be accurate.

Tom, you have my numbers already, right?

496 Mag HO 425 hp
Bravo 1 prop, 26P, non labbed (stock)
74.1 gps best run, averaged
gear ratio - hmmm, stock Bravo 'X'

She pops out of the hole better than most all of the freined's boats I have taken for a ride thus far........

My old numbers HP 550 - prop 26 bravo - gear 1.36 top speed 85MPH

Thanks guys. I want to tune the engine for big HP numbers but don't want to sacrafice low end torque for planing. It sound like it won't be an issue. If Krak pops out good with a 26, I don't think there's an concern.
