Need a hotel...
 

Hey guys, the wife and i are heading to Long Island sept. 10-11 to check out the shop and hopefully meet everyone at Superboat and add our names to list of boats waiting to get built!!!! We need a hotel to stay at close to the shop, something descent but not too pricey. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh and by the way... if anyone has a 30Y2K available for a demo ride that weekend; I would happily buy them breakfast, lunch, dinner, gas, a detail job, pretty much what ever it takes. I talked to John but he didn't give me the feeling that they had a boat at the shop ready to go around that time.. waiting to hear back from him so we will see.

The excitement is overwhelming!!!!

My boat may be @ Superboat on the 13th for a photoshoot/review. At this point Eric Colby of the new Speedboat mag. has intentions of doing an article on boatbuilders in the area and JC invited myself and boat to be featured... Maybe you could hang till then?

H BEACH, we stayed at the South Bay Motel ( 631-842-3700 ) through the Superbabi build, maybe 10 stays, the hotel is near by superboat, say 5 min. It's all you will need for a night or two. Good luck on perhaps your new boat, a Y2K i assume ??...............Gary

Stay at the huntington hilton ,you wont be sorry,all the other ones ------ ask fasterdamit on this site,if no one comes thru with a ride call me,i have a 30 something else,we will have fun!!!! tripps

Listen to Gary ( Superbabi), unless you want to spend all the X tra on onther stuf. The place is fine for what you need.

Oh- if you can let me know atleast 2 weeks out from then if your really gonna be doing the photo shoot/ run then I'll get my flights changed to hang out... if thats ok with everyone involved ;)

Gary- I'll call the hotel tomorrow... should i mention superboat or would that get me hung up on ;) Oh and yes the Y2K is what we are looking at... 90% sure its what i want just need to see one upclose and personal to know forsure.

Tripps- Faster and i have emailed a couple times, his boat isn't on the water yet and last time we spoke he wasn't sure when it would be... not to mention Faster would probably want to enjoy the first few hrs to himself after all the work hes put in, I know i would!!! But I will definitly take you up on your offer if no one else can come through with Y2K. I would be happy to buy you a drink just for the offer if your gonna be in the area that weekend :)

Rick- Read some of your other posts about the orders John is taking.... It's great for you guys if they all come through. So how many are going to be built this year and am I already screw'd on getting one in my lifetime? Would also love to meet the man I hear about on these boards and will hopefully be building my future boat. Hope your free that weekend!

H. BEACH that motel is all you will need for a nite or 2. Close to Ricks shop and JC'S rigging shop. If all else fails for boat ride give me a call, i'm not to far down the road, say 2 hours south at the Jersey shore. I will get you that ride on Superbabi..................Gary

luckily for you the 4 boats going to Canada are going unrigged. So I can pop them out pretty fast, around 6 weeks each. And the Yellow one, which is getting rigged with a 496. JC's boat is in the mold now and will be out within a few days. I already pulled the deck out yesturday. I think you can definately have a boat in the water by next season.

Well i talked to JC this morning and looks like were on for a sales meeting Sat. 10th... he mentioned that a customer would have his boat there for a magazine article on the 13th but wasn't sure when the boat would be there exactly. I'm assuming thats your boat Oh.... any plans to bring it down early... hint hint. I can probably swing Monday but Tuesday is gonna be pushing it. We will see.

FYI Spoke with JC today. He said he has 2 boats going to Canada. Yes HB thats my boat hes talking about. HB lets see how things progress ya never know. No promissses just yet :rolleyes:
