Re: twin 235's must have rocked
I remember seeing it around 25 years ago when I used to race with Jeff Gerardi ( Freeze Frame Video )in his 24's. Panama Red, Panama Red II, and Alcapulco Gold. Early 80's.

Re: twin 235's must have rocked
The 235 was the worst motor they ever built ! But then again 25 years ago who knew the difference.

Funny about the 235 Johnson. JKeff and I raced the balls off them and never once had a problem, even running them at 6000 rpm. Hundreds of hours without a problem. Figures.......... I'm still running mine. LOL

Re: twin 235's must have rocked
They dont break because the dont make enough power. I had a stream with one and was always passed by anything with a 200 merc. Im not an outboard guy but at the time was told the 225 rude was better.

wonder what 24 with 2.5 260's would do? Most likely totally out of control,

Re: twin 235's must have rocked
My 1976 SB had the 235s (or 225s ?) on it, the previous owner changed them, seems that they were cracking the motor mounts pretty regular, before counter rotating was around.
