Im going to trailer from babylon to orient and shoot across the sound. This should cut down about 1.5 hrs of travel. Anyone interested ?

I will be leaving from Greenport, just before Orient. There is a good ramp and parking. I have plans on hooking up with a 29 Kryptonite in the Sound then heading to the river. Would like to get a convoy going across.

Is that Kryp the white and purple one? If so, I met him last year, nice guy. Where in the Sound are you meeting?

I will launch in Chester up river at 7:30-8am and head south. I can meet you guys at Bell 8 two miles out or at the mouth if I don't get down fast enough.
There is a crew of boats meeting at the I-95 launch 9am or so. The CT River Run Officially starts in Haddam at 10 but I would like to start at the mouth.

Should be a GREAT Time!!!!!!!!!! :drink:

What's up Pat!, I think the Kryptonite is blue and white with the name Insanity on the side. His name is Ron, and a nice guy. I was going to buy a blower from him but he sold it the day of the Hot Toddy :rolleyes: I don't know where we are going to meet yet.

The weather was so nice last Saturday, I almost went across to your side. My crew just didn't have the time... :rolleyes:

Plans have changed again. Going to trailer to the I95 ramp. Orient for me is no big time saver.

If it was July Orient Point would be a great call.
I believe Fullthrottle 525 will be trailering up from Milford too.
Looks like PE and his buddy In$anity may be on their own.

Where in CT is the river run, I wanted to mapquest it to see if I was up for it this weekend? Do you need mufflers in CT ? Also Z.Zuperboat I was real disapointed today when I came out and seen my new Ron Hill 5 blade Propeller rusting, and I mean alot of rust it looked SS when I got it but it must have been coated.

Ive seen stainless props rust before. the polished ones rust slower. I dont know if its the metal they use or something in the water around here ? All my merc props do the same thing.It cant be as bad as you say. the ct river run is on the 15th and I hope the noise police are home for the winter. Im leaving my muffs home. Im leaving sat. 530-6 am if you want to join the convoy. the river starts in old saybrook across from orient exit 67 on 95.

What time does it start ? I used mapquest it's 119 miles from here. I may do this run. I will keep you posted.

most of us are meeting 8:30-9:30 at the ramp...some on the early side to shoot out to the #8? bouy to meet up with our LI brothers..the rest, ready to run by 9:15ish, to meet the screamnfly guys around 10 at Haddam....

My plan is to launch in Chester at 8am, 5-6 miles north of Old Saybrook, then come south to the I-95 ramp.
If PE is coming across I'll meet him at the mouth or bell #8, another 3-4 miles south...
By the way, 304 stainless steel will rust in salt water. That is why most boat hardware is made of 316. Best thing I could suggest is to have a prop polished and then keep it waxed...

Is the run Sat or Sun? Weather this morning said clear an 70 for Sat. :D
