What's new for the 2006 season?
 

Well I winterized the engine last weekend and tomorrow I plan to pull the drive and cover her. But the I'm already thinking about next year. I guess I have a sickness that I share with most of you... :rolleyes:

So what does everyone plan to Fix, Change, and Upgrade on their Superboats for the 2006 Season?

Yes, I know a few of you are still running your boats, but I'm sure you're thinking about new goodies as well.

For me the list is not as long as years past; probably because I don't have to pull the engine. Not to say there are not a few things that need attention.

My List:
- New Stainless Marine Exhaust Manifolds and Roller Rocker Arms for the engine.
- Lab Finished Prop.
- A few Fiberglass Repairs.
- New Tires and Bearing Buddies for the Trailer.
- And maybe if Dave M and I can get Rick to build them, A new Engine Hatch.

I'm sure the list will grow... :drink:

Today started out really cold but it has turned out to be a beautiful Fall day here in New England.
A few more shots from today as Henry and I did our yard cleanup chores.

Well Pat. I'm just hoping to get more than 10 hours on the boat next season. As for my so called 70 deg winter. I plan on doing the tunes and maybe some cushions down below.

Pat, looks like youre getting ready for the winter.. the location of your home really looks like your in the woods type setting. VERY NICE!

Hey Pat,

I spent the day raking leaves too. Tomorrow is going to be my last run of the year. It's supposed to be 60 degrees, good enough for me!

My 2006 list....
4 new speakers
add a second ram to my steering
new hatch actuator
new hatch????
build passenger side foot rest
passenger side grab rail

new trailer brakes (so I can make Superfest 2006)
recover bunks
check/fix lights

WHIPPLE!!!!!!!! I bought a Whipple out of the classifieds a few weeks ago. Installation is almost finished. Problem is I need a mechanic to help with distributor reinstal, and to set timing. My buddy owns a busy garage and has not had the time to help. Now weather is too cold to seatrial but gives me something to live through the winter for!!!

Looking at somewhere around 800-900hp.

Not to sound like I know it all but i do know when you need a pro my friend. you just spent alot of money with Jeff and I would hate to see you blow it up. Call Jeff and let him install it. Timing on a blower motor is an isssue and very very important !
