Rob,
The 2nd Canada hull will be pulled out of the mold on Monday. Next will be a Yellow hull for Florida (figure a month), then your hull.
Rob, I would definately, at least consider a T53 Turbine from Erick. 1400 HP, and only 4' long. The relialability factor is amazing.

Lets see: working too much, bought a new house, helping brother out on his new house ( his wife is a pain in the ass), and trying to get out to Havasu and check in on that place ( think the lake house might need paint this year ARGGGGGG!!!!) Other then that just sittin' around the house ;)

Rick, that turbine would be a sick set up, but I could never use it with all the noise it makes... Eco-Nazis out here right now are on a war path to get every loud boat out of the water. Its a load of crap but they are enforcing it for now???

When Ericks Turbine goes by at 80+, it's alot quieter then high HP motor.

Not sure of the db's but as she goes by it's a lot quieter than a pair of big blocks. Rob it's something, all you hear is the roar of the charging big blocks running up or down the bay............and out of no were................there is JET SET way ahead of the pack !!!!!!

Well forget the the Turbine idea.... brought it up at dinner and someone told my wife what that ment. Short version is she said, and I quote "Hell No are you going to drive anything that fast." So I guess i have to have less then 1400hp.... there are still a few options ;)

EFI forsure but Haven't nailed down what the motor is really going to be. Were trying to decide on the drive/tranny package first and kinda building the motor to suit. If I can find a drive that will handle a quadrotor then thats whats going in the boat!!!! My good friend is the owner of V-power motorsports... just finished helping set up there new shop last month so he owes me a favor or two.

Yeah I know but they are heavy and pricey.... were looking at the new IMCO drive and upgraded bravo XR types.... and merc is suppose to have something new at the Miami/Los Angeles boat shows in Feb.

I believe that Merc Racing sit sells the Speedmaster #4 or #5. That is what Zuperboat went to after shredding two Imco Bravo drives.
There is also the Konrad 540. The last time I visited JC, he had been talking to Konrad about a Big Diesel application.

The IMCO is rated up to 1000 hp, nice choice, however where we are the MERC. will always be the wise choice for service. Rob wait it out and see the new Merc mini 6. My 2 cents
