Controls- recomendation?
 

I want to change the single lever Merc controls in my 24 over over to dual lever with trim in handle.

Which is the preferred control Gaffrig or Livorsi?

Do they fit in the molded POD?

Any recommendations ?

The livorsi controls are nice. Take a look at marine machine too. They should fit, you might need some type of cover plate.

Personally I like a single lever better than the Gaffrig two lever I have on my Super. The two lever reminds me of the controls on my 35HP Evinrude 25 years ago... :rolleyes:
The Volvo Penta single lever on my 1975 Donzi was the best setup I ever had. That old 280 drive shifted a lot better than a Bravo too... :eek:

Pat, I agree two levers are a step back in time. The single is simple during docking.
Checked the catalogs on-line but very little info on single levers from Gaffrig or Livosi.

Does the Graffrig you have fit in the Pod? I have a 2002 24
