Re: New Yellow Y2k, with custom graphics.
What method do you use to attach the swim platform ( ie screws ,bolts etc). Do you think the yellow will hold up over time ? The owner should be proud for doing something so "Out of the Box".

fast fun 2--- As of this moment, I do not have any boat. Do to my experience, I am very-very picky and am currently narrowing the field and making decisions.

Well that is an almost silly question. A Y2K of course!

Re: New Yellow Y2k, with custom graphics.
Superbabi--- A Superboat is a consideration...in an already narrow field... and that model would, in fact, be a Y2K. The Y2K on paper and in pics looks to be superbly well built and the time spent (in pics) on finish work is impressive. And, there price point is unmatchable!! I guess the biggest question I have is why only the 5-year hull warranty.
Don't get me wrong, I know there are plenty of 15 and 20 year old Superboats around, and in the end hull warranty may be of little consideration.... but why not show the factory support. I have experience being part of racing (or beating) a 24' Pantera past most other boats breaking point, and always felt more secure knowing the factory offered a "lifetime" hull warranty regardless of intended use (in this case, seemed to show me the factory's commitment to their product). Please everyone, I am not promoting or bashing one or another boat company....it is just a question that is part of a decision-making process!?! |
Re: New Yellow Y2k, with custom graphics.
After speaking with everyone involved @ Superboat, I would be shocked if they didn't stand behind there hulls forever. If it was a defect I bet Rick would fix it or commit ritual suicide... the guy is too dedicated not to care.

Re: New Yellow Y2k, with custom graphics.
Whats the rub rail on the boat? I like the red of it if I'm seeing the picture right?
|
Re: New Yellow Y2k, with custom graphics.
Stainless
|
Re: New Yellow Y2k, with custom graphics.
is it possible to make this boat minus the rub rail? I know its not so practical, just a question.
|
Re: New Yellow Y2k, with custom graphics.
rt
IT was discussed not long ago... Due to the flare on the hull mold It just wouldnt look right...Rick had said not worth it ...and...BIG BUCKS...cost prohibitive. Without measuring mine , I would guess there is every bit of 2". then the deck caps it at that point. Requiring a complete remake of the hull and deck molds I believe.. |
