Yeah!!! John at least yours is turn key...Im thinking of putting a Shelby built all aluminum 427 in it. Silly expensive though...The 390 block looks the same as the 428 and I could build a hellova motor with it. Im weighing my options...;

I Am A Mustang Nut. Had A 66/67/68/69/70/71. My Favorite Was The 67 Gt Fastback 4 Spd With The 428scj. What An Animal. You Do Know The Original Big Block Cars Had Different Shock Towers Then The Small Blocks. Sold It Back In I Guess 1984 For $8000. Whats It Worth Today. Had The Aluminam Dash And Factory Roll Bar.i Thought About Getting Back Into The Body Business For A Project But Then The Zuperboat Would Never See The Water.

Did you see the Black 67 GT with the 428CJ sell for 475,000 on B-J. I think it was billed as the Fastest Mustag was called I believe the HEMI HUNTER.. Oh yeah, the Chevelle 454 LS1 selling for 1,100,000 and the other for 2,000,000 :eek:

My 67 Was Black. I Went To Ford With The Vin And They Told Me What It Came With When And Where It Was Built. Left The Factory Blue Gold Stripes And Had A 390.

You don't find many like that.

I bought a stolen and stripped 74 coupe a few years ago from an ins co.
Came as 350/L48 auto (but no motor),

When I was done 3 years later it had every nut and bolt new, 468 roller motor w 4 speed super T 10, 4" unmuffeled, Jet coated hooker side pipes, full road race suspension, and yellow driver paint.

I sold it and then my '88 600hp, SCCA Road race vette got sold last Thanksgiving.
I put some of the money into my Superboat.

I had to bring this back to Vettes.

Well The Boat Is Back From The Interior Shop Came Out Awsome, I Will Get Some Pics Up In The Next Few Days Started On The Rigging ,Dash Is Just About All Done ..ITS BOX Is On ,So Are The TABS , Put The Custom Trim Pumps In And Started With All The Layout In The Bilge ,,, Jeff Also Got The Rotating Assy Back From Balancing Gunna Start On The Motor Next Week.. Its Gunna Be A Real Sweet Package When Its All Done.Wont Be Long Now...

I Have Not Been Workin On It Much Lately But Its 95% Done. The 598 CI Motor Should Be Getting Dynoed Within The Next 2 Weeks . Tail Pipes Will Be Here Next Week .Then Put The Motor In And It Will Be Ready For A Water Test.... I Will Have To Post Some Pics Its Coming Out Real Nice..

I See Someone Has Been Very Productive. Nice Job John. Did I See Mechanical Fuel And Water Pressure Gauges ? Y Would You Want Mechanical ? Water No Problem But Fuel That Would Scare Me. Nhra Made Every Body Put A Diaphram In So No Fuel Would Enter The Cotpit. Are You Using One Of Those ?

My hat goes off to John and this boat. I actually got the pleasure to see this boat on friday. When I tell you guys this boat it amazing, the rigging is second to none, and attention to detail is tops in my book. Jeff did a sick job on the mill also. Cant wait to see what she does.

P.S john I still have that $5 bucks for gas. LOL :drink:
