Rick, who did Rob get to build the motor ??

FX10 01-25-2008 05:38 AM

I have no idea Gary. A over a year ago Rob said it was on the dyno. If it's still on there, it must need a rebuild by now. We haven't heard a word from him.

Really strange how Rob just lost interest in the boat/motor.:(

Hopefully hes not a mortgage broker !! With houses on the down turn business mite be abit slow. That boat will never get done.

Im still Alive!!!

Hi guys, well long story short... I have had a finished dyno'd motor for awhile now and yes it is finally headed for the superboat shop.

I didn't lose interest or run out of money. I'm not really sure exactly why this is taking so long. I guess life has just been really busy for me this last year and unfortunately I just haven't had the time or energy needed to make everything happen.

I would like to thank John and Rick for being patient and yes this boat will hit the water this Spring.

Oh and the dyno sheet said 1350hp @ 5300rpm on 113octane. Its set at just under 1000hp for 91octane and I can allways put the big pulley back on if needed ;)

Rob, Coen was all smiles after he got off the phone with you. I can't wait to see this baby. Are we doing the rigging, or is MRD?

Superbabi 02-28-2008 04:56 AM

Glad to see this build come back to life again !!! This has to be the biggest gas motor ever in a Y2K, and for sure will be well over 100 mph club !!!!! At 1000/1350 HP are you gonna put a #6 in the hull ??? Good luck, can't wait to see her run !!! Who built the motor ???

FX10 02-28-2008 05:00 AM

Gary, he's going with the Konrad. Remember? We have it at the shop.

FX10 02-28-2008 06:56 AM

I just did the BAM Speed Calculation of the boat. I'm using H2O's Y2K. He has the new bottom, and does a constant 82. Setting in those perimeters, I get a Constant of 240.
Now using the 240 constant with 1000HP, I come up with 113. But that would be with a XR drive. We know the Konrad is around 4MPH slower. So I'm going with 109.
