Had Surgury yesturday
 

I haven't been on too much lately. Had alot going on with the doctors in the past week or soo. Alot of tests.
I had skin cancer on my face (between the bottom of the nostral and the upper lip). It was removed yesturday. I turned out to be 3 times the size they were expecting. Had to remove a piece that was almost the size of a half dollar, and a half inch deep. The plastic surgon had to do a skin graft with skin from the back of my ear. And he tells me it will take 3 more grafts to totally fill the hole.
I'm not a happy camper at the moment. Alot of pain and swelling, and I won't be able to go to work to at least wednesday.
So while I was laying in bed, Kate and I did some figuring about the Superfest head count.
Turns out...WE HAVE TOO MANY PEOPLE FOR THE ROOM. So I called the Bulldog, explained the situation, and got the fireplace room which handles up to 35 people !!! Cooool

Rick stay home for a while ! You think your in pain now. The pain will be double if you go to work and get it infected. Their is no such thing as lite clean fiberglass work. Feal better and STAY HOME!

Rick, great to here from you. Everyone has a time in thier life they go through something like this. Be strong and look to the future and better times. Your the heart of Superboat. Can't wait to see your next masterpiece :drink:

I've never met you and don't own a Superboat ( love 'em anyway ) but wish you luck !

I've had two serious skin melanoma surgeries in the last three years with some pretty nasty scars...on my back and foot.

It wasn't fun, but time will certainly help...the up side is, it was caught before it could cause any more significant damage and that's good news for any of us that continue to go through this crap !!

Hey Rick,
I don't know you either and I don't post in this section but I do read and learn alot here. I have always enjoyed reading your posts and can appreaciate your experences. I wish you well and will pray for a speedy recovery.
