We are restoring it. I took em' today. The stacks were sent out to be anodized. The intake will be painted.

Pat-the tabs are 280's.WE have an XZ drive and will have dual-ram steering.

We are making it a single engine boat. Was a twin small-block boat. Had KAAMA drives.
Have to downsize other pics. This one though.

Good Luck on your rebuild, fast fun 2! From what you've posted thus far it looks like your Avanti is good shape to begin with.

A few weeks ago on my way to Atlantic City, I stopped at a Marina and looked at a 1985 Avanti for sale. It was a twin SBC boat converted to twin OB's. As you can tell from the pics, the boat is in dire need of an overhaul and the engines are junk. Owner wanted $5,500 inclusive of trailer. IMO, too much coin for the amount of work necessary to make it presentable and sea worthy.

Johnny your avanti looks like it's coming along real nice, keep us posted with info. and photos........................Dan I do see a couple of Avantis running up and down the BB but at best a hand full. I did look into the avanti boats before superboat, but that didn't happen. I wonder what type of production run they have per year ?????
