The construction dock ?? 100' from the State Police Office ??? They would haul half of us away in 2 hours. LOL
How does July 15th sound ?? We have fast Eddie bringing the Famous Superboat Tent for shade. I still like Sore Thumb.

The only Saturdays I have marked in July at this point are the 1st and 15th.
You may want to check the race schedules.
The sooner the better IMO.

The sore thunb is good but somewhat shallow and if you don't have OB's you are all f__ked and by thetime the tide comes back u can get out!!! . But we will still have a good time if you bring enough beer and your WINTER SUPERFEST t shirts i. If you guys aren't doing anything saturday nite some of the S+F boys are goin to marios in babylon for some drinks and food ,and fun. all are welcome,ill be there at 6 ish well talk about SUPERFEST if any superboaters show up!! tripps

Thats the million dollar question Pat. Coen said the drive should be there in 2-3 weeks and he wants the motor by then too.... So if the rigging goes as planned I would say the boat should be in the water before May. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I ran into an old college buddy of mine at a trade show in NYC yesterday.
Anyway, he lives in Babylon these days and goes four wheeling at the "Sore Thumb" all Summer long.

Sore Thumb is a cove on the back side of the Fire Island Inlet. Very calm. The play ground (Inlet)is just a stone throw away. ;)

GO IN FIRE ISLAND INLET AND AROUND THE FIRST ROCK JETTY ON THE LEFT AND YOUR THEIR. YOU CAN ALSO GET THEIR WITH AN SUV BUT DONT KNOW IF YOU NEED A BEACH PERMIT. iF WE HAVE IT THEIR YOU ARE GOING TO GET WET. YOU HAVE TO ANCHOR THE BOAT AND WALK IN THEN MOVE IT EVERY HOUR WITH THE TIDE GOING UP AND DOWN. IN JUNE THAT WATER IS GOING TO BE VERY COLD !

Would be very nice to have this shindig earlier then later, I would have a much better chance of attending but then again I'm only one person. If the water isn't going to be warm enough then why not go some place that has slips or moorings? I know the area about as well as I know antartica so I won't give any suggestions but there has to be a good weekend tie up spot with cold beer, hot chicks, and good music around?
