Bolster Seat hardware
 

I recently purchased a 26' Corsa, originally owned by Lightspeed. I'm posting here because the bolsters look similar to those in mid to late 80's Superboats. The bolsters have no hardware to lock them in the sitting position, none was ever installed. The stands are 1.5" flat stock and the seats drop to the side. The bottoms of the seats have an angled metal piece with a hole and if you drilled holes in the stands you could bolt the bottoms in place. Do any of you have a picture of the seat locking hardware from your boats? The Corsa interior was from Bilt-Rite in Florida, which is no longer in business.

The Superboat Bolster Bottoms Where Never Very Reliable. More Than One Time The Bottoms Have Dropped Out While Running.

The seats in my 1997 24' work quite well, but I stand when the going gets rough.
I don't have a picture for you how ever the mechanism is quite simple. There is just a swing up rod that slides into an aluminum channel. I think you can see it on the Superboat web page under the 24' model...

Superbabi,

I'm keeping it at the family house in Seaside Park for the summer. I'm using the ramp in Seaside Heights, near the A&P. I just got it last Wednesday and was out last Sunday around 3:00 between the Seaside bridge and Kettle Creek. Zoom, Zoom!

has anyone come up with a good fix for the drop outs ? i've tried everything, pinching the channel, realigning everything, drilling out both sides of the drop bars and putting washers and cotter keys on both sides, on the centre of the bar i had a tab welded on and drilled thru the channel with a cotter key on the other side, last weekend it broke off with the cotter still in the pin, damn i thought i had it this try, wrong, i don't really want to lose the drop out option, it's kinda nice when your just floatin around to make a little more room inside. thanks Rick

Do you have the angled alum brace that attaches to the rear of the backrest to the side of the boat? If not you need it. Make sure all attaching points are secure. I have found that if anything is loose the wiggling will dis-lodge the swung up bar.
