Most of the 24's I have seen lately are in the early 80's - fair to poor shape - problem is lots of them still have the TRS outdrives - which sometimes is not bad depending on you application. Keep digging at it - nows a good time to offer someone cash for there Superboat taking up space in the driveway or Marina and gets the wife off there back. Good Luck

What year Power, Price etc are you looking for? Price would have to right for me to sell mine, as I love it, but everything is for sale :D

What he said... :D

My 1997 is in need of some TLC after doing nothing for the last 2 year but put gas in and change the oil. So I'm not sure if she would show as well as the $$ I'd need...

Anyway, I'd love to step up to a 27' to 30'... :drink:

Pat Don't Sell Your Boat Short. Its A Sweet Ride That Runs Extremely Well. New Motor Drive / Gimble. If You Get A 30 Super You Can Still Keep Your Tow Vehicle.

Re: Anyone Selling A 24 I/o

Pat I agree with Zuper, sell yours, and I will sell you mine and then I can move up to a Y2K or buy Zuper's boat! Empire I know what you mean and I will keep my eyes open. Not sure I am willing to part with mine just yet (will think about it). Have you had any luck on scream and fly?

Re: Anyone Selling A 24 I/o

Well the timing is not right, new baby and all, for me to be thinking about a bigger boat. BUT, never say never...

Zup, thanks for the complements, yes she runs about as good as I could ask of her... :D

Yes Zup, a tow veical is a problem for me, my Wangler would look a little funny in front of a bigger boat; it is already on the edge with my 24'...
We did recently buy a new Grand Cherokee for my wife but she wanted to stay with a 6 banger, so that's not pulling more boat either...

So what would I sell my boat for?

I'll say this, I bought her without power 4 years ago for 20K, and I would sell her for 20K without power. I have added a few options, ie. swim platform & off-shore engine mount, so IMO it's a wash being that she's older.
My price, as is rigged with a 150hour B1 drive and 120hour 502MagMPI, ??

What would be a fair price?

the progression is a nice boat ,dont like the low deck . all the others are great too .but you know how it is . I want what I want. I wont settle just yet.

If my wife and I would agree on what our "next" boat is going to be, I would sell mine. She wants a cruiser! :argue:

Anyway, mines 1998, 496HO with 120 hrs. K-Planes, FULL hydraulic steering, GPS speedo, alum. swim platform, etc. etc. I'm in MD., not too far from NY.

Re: Anyone Selling A 24 I/o

I like my 30' Superboat, great ride little disapointed in the balance still leans but thats due to the narrow beam. I like my 24' also - my 24' rides better than my 30' with more people in it. ( Don't get me wrong both a great boats - but I wish the beam was a little wider it would make the 30' super-boat much more stable.

z.zuperboat 11-17-2006 09:44 AM

Re: Anyone Selling A 24 I/o

Mine Leans Only With A Cross Wind Otherwise Nice And Level. I Put 2 Sand Bags In The Engine Compartment And Moved Them Around For Balance. Then Moved My Batteries. For A Right Hand Drive I Had Both Batteries On The Starboard Side. Sat Alittle Uneven When Parked But Running That Was The Ticket. Now With A Left Hand Drive I Had To Split The Batteries One On Each Side. A Wider 30 Would Kill The Hole Boat. It Would Be A Wave Crusher Rather Than A Wave Cutter.

Hey Zup, we sure had some cross winds during the CT River Run...
In calm conditions, my 24 Super runs nice and flat spinning a right hand prop if I'm by myself.
The battery mounted on the starboard side along with weight of the dash/helm and my fat butt counteracts the roll caused by the torque of the engine and prop.
When I have two people, I need to run with some port tab, even if I put the cooler under my seat... :drink:
