I am interested in a top cap. I'm pushing 775 hp through my XR spinning left. Is it a simple swap or does it require any machining? Let me know what you want for it.

Just bolt it on,no machining.bought them for my 36 spectre but would not fit because of Marine machine steering.Do you have anything bolted to top cap(steering plates)will takes pics tommorrow will sell them at cost need to see what i paid for them.Nice looking units very beefy, same units they use in there platinum outdrives

Does the top cap come with a stud kit ? I read somewhere that studs are better then the stock bolts. Thats why they run studs instead of bolts on cylinder heads. Also does the top cap come with the bearing race already pressed on ? I bought a used bravo from a reputable rebuilder once and before installing it I opened it to take a peak inside and the top cap was missing the shaft bearing race. OOOPS that would have lasted all of 3 mintues ! Im glad the bravo days are over for me.

The top cap uses longer bolts,it does have upper bearing and race installed,if you are using wing plate steering that bolts to top cap maching of wing plate may be required.I will sell one for 350(my cost from teague) or will sell a pair for 600.
