Anyone seen the old R.C. Marine race boat in awhile? Was this not the baddest 30 around? Small blocks and TRS drives. Any pics of this boat back in the day? Pics of boat in action or up close on trailer w/shot of drives?

I use to race against RC marine in 92-93 A class,my 28 pantera was set up nice and it was fast, but RC marine 30 superboat was unbeatable. In the rough water it totally dominated.I have known since then it is one of the best hulls in its class.I will try to find some old pics.Is that boat still around i know it caught on fire, but was it ever rebuilt? A true offshore legend

This would be my question also...Where is R.C. Marine and what is the boat's condition? Also, How many 30 Superboat Tempest's had twin I/Os for power? Anyone?

R C Marine was bought some years back by Dr. Oscar Rodrigues afterit was torched in Puerto Rico. It was then shipped back here where I rebuilt it and Aldo re rigged it. I think Aldo is still partners with him on it, I'm not sure. But I know it's in Puerto Rico.

It was R.C.s boat but Aldo had the papers on the boat.Basically ****ed R.C. for the boat in the end.:( It is in Puerto Rico now.

Thanks guys! I should have known someone from L.I. would know. Any pics of damage and what it looks like now?

FX10 04-01-2007 11:44 AM

20' of the port side hull was burned off down to the waterline and 5' on the starboard side. The deck was also severly burned. I made molds off another 30 for the replacement sides, and purchaced a new deck from Coen. Then painted the hull with Imron. The boat looked new when done. And just as, if not stronger then new.

Any pics of the process and what it looks like now? Is is still running smallblocks w/TRS? Is the boat same color and stripe scheme?
