Questions on 24 for Sale

Does anyone know about this 24 for sale in the classifieds?

I could have had this 24 a few years back for 16K and it had a Zul engine.

It used to be in Maryland. Has anyone seen it?

I don't know the boat. It does look like a real nice old classic.
IMO for 20K you can find a newer boat.

What do you think the market value is for the boat in the classifieds?

Stormrider 04-10-2007 10:26 AM

thats a pretty cool boat, but 21 is a bit much, dont ya think.
Sweet dude's 24pantera, asking 11k has more potential for the same $. $10k could go a long way to cleaning his ride up.
Plus its on the west coast already.
btw... not pushing pantera over SB, just mentioning a better deal.

I think that 21K is way too much for the boat. The 24 pantera is nice but, the cockpit of the Superboat seems deeper and larger. I also like how the dash is molded in.
Does anyone know about the size of the cabin between the two?
I agree that the Pantera is a way better deal and it's in my backyard.

Plus, we've all seen what you can do w/ a boat... very impressive.

Those are two of the reasons I sold my 24' Pantera and bought a 24' Super.
The cockpit of the Super is not much deeper but it is 10-12" longer.
The cabin of most 24' Panteras is flat inside where as you step down into the Cabin of a Super. There are a few Pantera SE models that have a similar cabin to the Super.

Dude! Sweet! 04-10-2007 03:38 PM

I don't know why I happened to look at this... I love the striped old school interior and if I kept my 24 that's what I'd do with it. The cockpit in my 24 is nearly identical in size as the interior of my 2006 Silverado extended cab...

There is a stepdown into the cabin on the 24 sport but it's really just a 2'x2' square cut into the floor of the cabin. My 3 year old daughter likes the cabin, but otherwise it's really not good for much other than storing fenders and lines and the cooler (which fits pretty good into the little step area). Oh and I have a buddy who likes to pop the hatches and play tank commander... I guess the cabin in his Top Gun is too big!

Anyhow, the boat may be heading to the midwest this week (no deal yet, but some strong interest). I'd honestly rather not take it back when I go to get the 28 (so we can drive faster), so if you're interested let me know and I'll send you some photos and info.

Thanks for the info.
In my mind this boat is worth around 11-12k max.
It looks like it needs a good deal of updating.
