The 5 blade really shines in the rough. The boat does definately run more stable at high speed in the rough. |

That is why you would go to this prop anyway- losing top end is a known...
Some of the guys that have run them on 30' Supers have reported the same or even faster top speeds vs. a 4 blade. |
Pat, sent you PM. I'm considering Whipple options so I would have to re-prop, but I'm still interested. With my buddy's 26PX5 I saw increases across the entire range - + 5 mph mids, +3mph top end and more stability.

Mark, i would take losing 2 up top for 3-4 more at cruise.

The P5X does seem to be the best prop for your hull Keith.
I do know that on OH-Zone's boat the top speeds are about the same with a P5X vs. a B1 and cruise is better with the 5 blade as well. On my 24' the P5X is only better for rough water handling. I will probably not spend the $$ on this prop as I do have other items on my boat requiring attention/$$ right now. |
Thanks for all your help and input Pat. I'll keep looking for a PX5-25 LH until I make any other changes.

The timing is just a little off for me to buy this prop. I was ready to pull the trigger a month ago, but. Just got other items on the boat to spend $$ on right now... |
I hear ya! Don't worry, if Ifind a smokin' deal on a pair you'll be second to know about it!
