I thought you had a TRS drive?

I have heard that they can improve speed (not 15mph) and handling but they also put a lot of stress on the transom assembly.

On Union Blvd east of Carlton Ave

SUPER AIR 06-14-2007 09:41 AM

No TRS - I got a Bravo - with a 598 on a 1985 24' - Superboat just looking to get more of the rear end out of the water she sitting low even at high speed. Thought a stern lift may help.

It might...
I've been thinking about an extension box on my boat for a couple of years now.

I would really be interested in that project. I have thought about this also but was told the cost would not justify the gains. Hmmm?

SUPER AIR 06-18-2007 01:18 PM

I talked to a few people about extension boxes - all were positive - the people who currently had them seen an average of 7 MPH gain ? and brought the boat out of the water more: ANYINFO on stern Jacks would be helpful

I have a 1984 24' hull and trailer... Boat is excellent shape... The upholstery is tired and needs to be re-done... The trailer is in service. We haul her just about every weekend. My wife and I are waiting for a quote on a y2k... So we will entertain offers. Boat located in seabrook NH.
We are running a Mariner 200 HP and consistently run 62-63. Motor not available.
Rory.

rory 2010, good luck with your sale. Do tell about the Y2K your pricing .

rory2010 07-05-2007 10:38 AM

I sent a letter out last week after speaking with the folks at superboat requesting pricing on both a 34 and y2k. Since then we have decided on just working out the y2k hull. WE are researching and would like to put twin 300's ....
Basic set up for occasional overnights in the cabin. Would love some feedback on the OB idea.
