Posts: 22 Hey all , just to let you know that there was one mishap / accident down by Hamburg Cove around 4:00pm A 24' Superboat from Chester hit a wave from a larger boat and went up in the air and down hard on the stern causing the nose to stuff into another wake. From what I heard from my buddy who was running along side of him was that the deck separated from the hull and came back at the driver and passenger. Passenger lost a tooth / teeth , both went to clinic and one shipped off to the hospital. Both generally ok but boat is bad. This is all 3rd hand info so please don't get mad if something is incorrect. Glad nothing worst happened and we all wish them a speedy recovery. *PAT . Hope your O.K. !!! Call me please. (PM thru S&F).Gene |

I saw a white Superboat at 3:30-4:00 idling past my marina in Deep River, I'm assuming he was headed back to Chester...it sure looked like him, white super with the flags on the bow and two in the cockpit...Damn I hope it was him

Yes, I stuffed the boat into a large powerboat wave going faster than I should have been going.
The deck separated from the hull and folded back on top of us. My buddy Bobby hit is mouth on the dash, broke a tooth and cut his bottom lip and chin. I got a bump on the head. We were real lucky not to have been hurt worse. Peter (Madison on OSO) and Anthony (T-Mone on OSO) came to our assistance within minutes as I beached the boat. Peter brought Bobby to the Deep River town dock where his wife picked him up to go get stitches in the chin and check out the tooth. Anthony rigged my throttle cable with some duct tape so I could motor the boat back in. All is OK, and I thank God for that fact; the boat can be replaced. |
Sorry To Here This Pat ,,Glad You Guys Are Ok ,Yes The Boat Can Be Replaced People Cant,,,,Anything I Can Do Let Me Know,,,,,
