30y2k with 525 ?

can a 30 y2k realy run 86 mph with a merc, 525 ?

Yes. The third and forth hull I made with the new bottom both have 525's. The third one out of the box on its first run with 4, 200+ LB. adults plus a full tank of fuel went 82 with a stock Merc prop. He kept that prop, and never did anymore dialing in.
H2O has the forth hull. His hull also ran 82 fully loaded with a stock prop. He has since dialed it in trying numerous props and finally found the one that works. 86.9 on the GPS. Lets make it 87. Whats a tenth of a mile an hour between friends. That was done with John driving and alittle less then a half tank of fuel.

The 86.9MPH top recorded speed was under perfect conditions out of 87hours of run time. The boat in flat conditions will run about 82-83MPH...

that's great performance out of a 30 with a 525 :)

Agreed. My '05 w 496MagHO ran best of 74.1 and runs now (~300 hrs) everyday conditions 71-72 mph. You need to buy one, best bang for your buck, hands down.

PS, yes, all GPS numbers over multiple passes....

No doubt !!

Just think !! now you only need a 496 to go as fast as the older bottom 525's
