I say we get something going For the Superboat Gang . I trailered my boat to Skaterfest. Put it in the water drove it there ,froze my a$$ off . Asked around if anybody wanted a ride. No takers. I guess if you don't own a Skater you aint S#$*. But thats ok I know we can have just as good a time as the Skater boys. Hey Tripps I have a Superboat banner if we need one. Is Sept 14 Still going to be the date?Keep us in the know . I can't wait for this to Happen. See you soon.

I've got my calander marked Sept. 14th.... I'm trailering down with my 24 & a friend with his 21 from Albany area... so lets keep this thing alive.... its less then 4 mos from now....:cool:

Where does everybody plan on staying? I need to make some reservations soon.

Hey Gassticks, I must of just missed you at Skaterfest. I was there on Sunday for a few hours. Lets try to hook up locally soon. If you are interested in a Potomac run let me know. Or we can meet on the bay somewhere.

yes we missed each other at skaterfest, I was there on Saturday.
Too cold so I put the boat on the trailer and had to leave on sunday morning early. I'm all for meeting up on the bay so lets figure something out . I was going to put the boat in today (mon) but the weather isn't good so maybe next weekend . Let me know . And we'll get togather.

kismet is on a island so you would have to put your boat in on the mainland,tripps and i could figure out where to store your trailer and car.
yes they are on the water the marina belongs to the kismet inn
but you will be able to dock there

Maybe you can give us out of towners a run down of the logistics as far as ramps, parking, etc.

I am staying at the Margarita Villas. Once you get on the Island is there any need for a car? I was thinking I could put the boat in, drop the trailer off somewhere and have my wife drive the truck to the other side. Or, should I just leave the truck and trailer on the mainland? You mentioned you have a place to park the trucks and trailers?

The dates are Sept 14 & 15th. It sounds like it is going to be an informal gathering of Superboat owners and whoever else is interested. I'm not sure how interested John Coen is about this. It would be nice if he could at least make an appearence and hang out with us. Do you know were the Kismet Inn is? That was one of the places mentioned hang out. Hopefully some of the others who sai. they planned on coming will chime in soon.

hi guys,i havent been on latley,but yes we will be out there.i think the race in ny harbor that sunday,so superboat saturday and sbi race sunday.you dont need a car on fireisland,there not allowed. the ony thing with wheels is the cops,cashregisters,and coolers

I'll be in Pt Pleasant Friday too. I was hoping John would be there so we can talk to him about this.

Were is the ramp? Do they allow you to keep your rig there over night? Is it secure? No cars on Fire Island? What is that big bridge for? Can you email me your phone #.

I would probably launch at Tanner Park since I have a friend who lives near there. How far is Kismet from there? Is that the one just on the other side of the bridge going toward Fire Island?

Well Guys , I t looks like I won't be able to make it to the Superboat gathering this time. My lower unit is being replaced and I won't have it together in time for the weekend. But DAVE M if you want to stop buy on your way up I have a Superboat Banner you can use for the beach gathering. I'm only 7 miles off 95 or 300 yards off 695 in towson . By the end of this week let's try to iron out the details as far as meeting places and times. Maybe we can do like a fun run. Go around to all the local spots and then to the Kismet Inn? I'm going to try to get a hold of John this week. I'll give you a call soon.

Well guy's my life is one big **** sandwhich right now My tow veichle took a crap on me and my lower unit is waiting for the insurance guy to get back from vacation. does that suck or what??? Tripps if you got a lower with a nosecone and low water pickups. we could do something? but I don't have a tow veichele to get my boat up to the Island . Any one want to tow my boat up there for me ?? help,you guys think you got problems,listen to this!! here i am taking it out to the ramp crusin at 5,000 and BAMM. the whole side of the mota is gone!!!it broke so hard that it broke the timing lever in peiceswith piston parts in the lower pan!! OUCH.i have a spare powerhead,hopefully we can get it together for next week or ill have to use my centerconsole(not a superboat).i was going to the ramp to clean the bottom for more speed,and look what i got:eek: :eek: :eek: so if you guys know any body with some stock 200 powerheads let me know thanks tripps

with John this weekend and I'm trying to get somthing togeather for Saturday Morning early at the Factory, you guy's really need to see the new Deck for the 21 it's beautiful, It will allow for bigger engines with an higher X, he also has a new 34 that maybe ready.

I just heard about the gathering , nobody in nassau county seems to know about it ! I ve been telling all who I know !There are several great 30s in freeport ! I will be checking the board for further updates !
