More Competitive?

Which boat do you guys think would be more competitive, a 24 superboat with 300xs o/b for P5 competition or a 30 Y2K with twin 300xs o/b for P4 competition? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Just because I like it's design so much I would go with the Y2K..especially if it's o/b..I would love to see some pics of a Y2k with o/b's

I/O, is the way to go. Not enough info on the Y2K outboard. Now the Tempest thats a proven out board winner.

No need for 300x. Look at Dock Blood and Specialized Racing. Both Twins. Specialized has a couple of 2.5 and Dock Blood is running a pair of 250's. Specialized was high poimts champion last year, And Dock Blood won the Battle on the Bay. First place!

Single BB in either would be better for rough water.

They do run real well with outboards but I like the sound of a big block:ernaehrung004:

Twin small blocks would be the way to go, I don't know that anymore twin engine boat are going to be allowed in Class5,
talk is to grandfather the boats that have raced, class 4 should not be a problem so the bigger motors may be needed.
The second Y2K built had Twin outboards, don't know what happen o it.
