Rick your needed on the sales floor !!!
Rick I have an idea but it would require you back in the shop so you would have to tell me if you can and will do it !
: 16' CC : Millennium console narrowed to fit : all black hull and deck : Stainless rub rail You give me the go , and I'll call JC ! I have a GP1300R jet ski with only 19hrs on it that I use to explore and I would rather do it in a 16CC and sell the Jet ski . |

Rick Take a look at this and tell me if it can be done or not .
It's lighter and more powerfull then a 70-125 merc outboard .. I have all the blueprint dimensions for the tunnel and the merc tech is getting total height measurement for me . .http://www.mercurymarine.com/engines...max-sport-jet/ |
I luv where you're going with this OCC.
I want one :) |
The stress of the engine will not be placed on the transom, but on the glass surrounding the engine...would be a cool project and FX10 is the man to do it !!!!

What is the weight? 200-250? The 90 weighs around 320 lbs. |
The Mercury 90 Optimax is 66.2hp to prop and 375lbs :
The 200HP OptiMax Sport Jet is 147hp to prop and 367lbs : We are looking at only 8Lbs weight savings but 81 more horses at the prop... |

Joe,
Went over it with Coen today. As for it fitting. The cutout for the box in the bottom won't work due to the shape of the hull. Also the motor would be around 10" above the deck. Aside from making a custom engine hatch, fitting the mufflers somewhere. It's not feasible. Not saying it can't be done. It would cost a small fortune in fabrication and installation. Personally, I think the 16' with the 90 is a awesome package. Goes low to mid 50's, and runs in really shallow water. The motor on the boat in these pictures was raised 2 1/2" since these pictures were taken. This was the day Vinny got the boat from RPM marine to have the motor installed. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...t/DSCN0394.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...t/DSCN0391.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...t/DSCN0392.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...t/DSCN0393.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...t/DSCN0394.jpg |
