Y2K Props?
Maybe someone here can help me out? Last fall I purchased Scott Harnois 2004 Y2k.... the boat will turn a labbed 28 Bravo 1 to the rev limiter with 2 people & 1/2 tank of gas.... I also have a Bblades 5 blade 26 labbed prop that is not as fast as the Bravo one, stays off the rev limiter & has other characteristics I like... I previously owned a 24 SB (non step) that I tried many style props on & found that a mirage(not the plus) 3 blade was what the boat liked best all around (imo).... I am thinking of going to a 30 Labbed Bravo one to get off the rev limiter but thought maybe some of you guys have been thru this & could save me some time & $$$$ from your expiriences? What have you found these boats like best?
Thanks in advance.... |
I know some out there are running Hydromotive props.Tough to say with out testing, they are all a little different.
I would be interested in your 28 if it is for sale. E-mail [email protected] |

Hi Gary,
I did lots of testing with Gary H here in the CT River and talked with Scott alot. Gary H had vary good luck with a stock Hydro P5X. Don't mess with the Hydro P5X though, they work best stock. BBlades is the place to go to for "Lab'd" Merc props and the B1 does respond well to alterations. |

I turned my cleaver into a hydromotive by rounding the tips. Slip is now at 5%. Straight back with bent tips works very well and will lift the entire boat . When I get it back I will have to post some pics.

Anyone ever try a Mazco RE4?
