Rick Rocks Rick Rocks!

I see that the rear port side of the tank's bulkhead has been shaved to allow for the fuel fill lines.

The rear bulkhead for the tank [facing the transom] is cut low to allow for the fuel lines to be run to the back?

Are you going with a hard or canvas top or just bare?

No hard top, possibly a removable bimini canvas later on, but for now, I want it bare. At the speeds we are thinking it will go, didnt want a t-top working against me like a sail

Funny Gary LOL
Today I glassed in the forward storage locker floor. Also cut out the balsa for the thru hull transducer, did the initial glass build up, and will finish it tomorrow. Tomorrow will be installing the cockpit floor side supports.

Was actually talking console choices with JC today. Gonna sit in his y2k,just go get the feel of the sit down version buckets, but leaning toward the standup millenium console with the bolsters

And great shots as always Rick!

z.zuperboat 10-23-2009 05:21 AM

I dont think I would want a leaning post at 85 mph. Ever see the comercial for the boating game when they say for 2 players hit a wave one get thrown out then they say or just 1. Buckets or 2man Tall bolster

Superbabi 10-23-2009 05:28 AM

I'm with ya Mike, sit down buckets.

Totally agree, definitly am not doing a leaning post, my neighbors 30 CC, it has the larger leaning post and it looks great and its comfortable at 60 MPH, but you could already tell that at anything above 65 mph, you would be more worried about holding on for dear life as oppossed to actually driving the boat

JC has a pretty good idea on the racing bolsters he would build, and it would include a small rear facing bench behind it that would be pretty nice. I am gonna sit in the Y2k just to see how it feels, but I generally prefer driving standing up to take the big blows in my legs as opposed to my incredibly messed up back, but you never know! The millenium console with twin buckets would look pretty trick

FX10 10-24-2009 11:30 AM

I like the idea of the sitdown console for the fact that the CG will be alot lower, and you would definately feel more secure at speed.
No work for me today Sean, Coen squashed that yesturday when I told him I wanted to get the side floor supports done for monday. He said no work tomorrow. I should have kept my mouth shut, and just went in.

Yes this same man came and sniffed around a bad boy 32...
he tried to tell me he looked at a y2k that did 80 with hp500....i knew that never happend unless it was on the interstate...i talk to JC and he told me months ago the boat does mid 70s...

guy never called back.

i like superboats they are well built but the 32 Bad Boy made by tony pacheco with a 620 will walk all over a superboat in any water any day...good luck to this guy if he ever shakes the tree.......smacker....

TOASTY 10-26-2009 06:33 PM

whatever...hull sides straight as an arrow 650 hp in a y2k..i doubt it...already been tried in races. Keep shaking that tree....or leave the hair gel on the shelf at CVS and you prob save a G a month! get both boats in real ocean slop with big power and see who handles who! you and i both know. Get back to work selling wheels...

I love these buyers they say they have coin then when it comes time to talk $$ they say they need to get a loan and can we finance and and and...phhhaaaallllease.

in any rate totally wasted JCs time and my time and not even decent enough to phone...typical high lifestyle want to be taking his female up to show off....good luck with your fiberglass floor job....crappin freaks.

OCCJoe 10-26-2009 07:04 PM

Christian Sorry I didn't call you back ! Talked to the wife the whole way back and desided the Bad Boy was not what we were looking for !
Been with the wife for 21 years the showing off is done in the bedroom still !
Don't use hair gel never have !
Gonna buy very soon don't talk crap bout someone you don't know !
Going on a SB forum and talkng sh$t bout SB's not smart !
And get off the 30CC thread !

And I'm sorry to all for these post !

youtube vid?? real class...Boy this econ brings out the real weirdos

good luck

Superbabi 10-26-2009 07:55 PM

Now you LIKE Superboats ???? Make up your mind,Toast:bsflag:

Hannibal41 10-26-2009 07:59 PM

Bad Boy makes a strong race boat...not for everyone...lean on amenities!

TOASTY 10-26-2009 08:03 PM

Yes, i can like them. I can also feel that they are not going to out handle or out run a Bad Boy...Just i like the BBPB better.

I never typed i didnt like them. And i esp like JC hes a good man. I typed that if you match up against a bb 32 you will not have an level playing field esp in rough water. i am done with you all good luck hope you learned something, but i doubt it.

Hannibal41 10-26-2009 08:08 PM

i have been in both. i owned a 24 SB with 2 2.4s and have been in a 32 y2k with tall power. I also have been in a 32 Bad boy....there is no comparasion the bad boy is bigger in every way. Isnt the y2k less $$?

Superbabi 10-26-2009 08:19 PM

Gary- you are a man of class, and you drive one hell of a boat! :coolcowboy:

FX10 10-26-2009 09:17 PM

WTF !!! I missed all the fun !! Toasty, how fast does your bad boy go with a 650? The guy going by the docks is my buddy and the last Y2K I made. It does 84 any day of the week with a 525, and 86 on a good day. Also our Y2K is 32 ft. not 30'.With the new botom doing 84 with a 525, any day of the week. I wonder what it would do with a 650 ? What are your Numbers? And keep in mind... I said.. the new bottom( +4,5 MPH)
Your in the wrong thread, sober up before you come back.

Rick

FX10 10-26-2009 09:33 PM
