H2oscene Y2K 2009 Season is almost over

You know it is late in the Season on Long Island when 1/3 of the boats are Patrol and Saftey Boats, 1/3 of the boats are Clam Boats and the other 1/3 are SUPERBOATS!!!

H2O,

Nice setup! Walk to the back and go boating! Awesome.

How late in the year do you go boating?

The girls remind of Betty Cook Racing Team.

H2oscene 11-14-2009 04:42 PM

I am trying my best to raise her as a water-rat as I had the Good Fortune to be raised as... Thanks S.S. I am a proud Dad

Heres another Y2K Video to share

Likewise I grew up weekending and summers on the water. Had my own boat as a pre-teen. Loved driving my dads 17" Crusers Inc lapstrake boat with twin 40's back in the day and thought it was the sh!t! My nine year old son is starting to dig the speed of the Superboat and as you said getting him involved as much as possible...Nothing like the accelerated class huh! Keep up the good work!

H2oscene 11-16-2009 06:43 PM

Nothing like starting on a small boat to get a real feel - I started by harrassing my neighbor that flipped and sunk his 15' Glasspar G3 to let me have it... After watching it on the bottom of the canal for a season he finally told me to take it... A lot of work later at 13 I was out runnin the whalers... I contribute the inlet runs in that boat to my some of my best learning experiences...

Time spent with your child doing something you both love .... Priceless! I'm impressed!!!

H2oscene 02-25-2010 07:17 AM

Not really out to make a deal, I've received some calls over the winter but no firm commitments...

I'm More of just plain old off the wall...

I just couldn't resist a boat ride!!!

Superbabi 02-25-2010 11:15 AM

A snow ride in the Y2K on the Great South Bay, now that would be a GREAT VIDEO !!!

H2oscene 02-28-2010 04:09 PM

Great Idea Superbabi!!!
May try it next time it snows on a weekend.
Taking off the cover and putting it back on in the snow would really suck!!! But would be worth it!!!

z.zuperboat 02-28-2010 04:15 PM

I heard you out today. It was snowing pretty hard toooo. Did you bring the camera ?

H2oscene 02-28-2010 04:22 PM

Another foot higher and it would have been helloooo Geico. My insurance has a layup time and I dont think im covered until maybe may. You could have put it on your homeowners because another foot of water and the boat mite have been in your living room.

Days like that make you realize, any time she wants Mother Nature can take everything we own. Out waterfront home took a Major Hit with the March 13 Slam.

elvisali 03-15-2010 05:54 PM

We sat on my neighbors back deck and watched as his dock slowly got broken apart...board by board. I hadnt seen the bay like that in a long time, just trying to drive across bridge was an adventure

H2oscene 03-15-2010 06:49 PM

Boat was good out there. It got real bad after dark and I lifted her up another 3ft. which also shortened the cables and prevented to much swinging.
It woulda been nearly impossible to get out to her at the peak of the storm, but if my girl needed me I woulda been there for her.

ndaniels 03-15-2010 11:28 PM

Wow! Thats some rough stuff... I take it your camera is waterproof?

I've been thinking about getting a camcorder and its been up in the air about waterproof or non...
