I come & go in the water using the K -Planes for footing... but I am very aware of that prop & would not be comfortable letting young kids do the same.... you can board the Y2K from the back in the water if you are very careful... I just wouldn;t let a young child or someone unfamilar with the boat back there... one slip & its a hospital trip!

Same here. That's why I am so intent on finding a solution. Another thing that makes my situation worse is that I have ITS, so the drive sticks out an extra 7" or so.

I think any kind of rope ladder used in the back would have a tendancy to swing under the platform when weight is applied to it.

Oh, and I got a few real nice plush bath rugs that I use on my hatch. They have the rubber stuff on the backside.

I was thinking the rope ladder off the back side near the back seat? Maybe the back side corner?

I think I will give that a try. It's the cheapest and least intrusive option. So, I don't really have much to loose.

At one of our favorite waterfront restaurants today, boat has run flawlessly all weekend.

Nice! I'm playing hookie today and going out on the bay somewhere.
