Even though I love my Y2k not many people care for a 30' boat with only a seven foot beam . If I'm gonna splash something its gotta be at least an 8' beam . I haven't splashed anything yet but just to let you know I'm not above it if it will save me thousands .

FWIW, MY SUPERBOAT has more cockpit room than my 31 Sonic.

Pure Energy haven't seen you around much . I know you had that bolt go through your blower and you fixed that but what else is new ? old power , new power ? Paint holding up good ?

When did you take these pics? No hydraulic steering going on that boat?

noli 11-30-2013 10:11 AM

.

The date stamp of the files on my computers show Aug 30,2012

perhaps John Jr. can chime in with the hardware that went in them. Around that time I was very busy getting another boat company into the Miami Int'l Boat Show, so I wasn't around the SB factory. I couldn't take pics of the finished boats.

noli 11-30-2013 10:41 AM

.

but you're right, from the looks of the last pic, it looks like the steering is not transom mounted dual steering pistons.

maybe the customer will upgrade in stages? I know that the blue boat is a race layup. hardware can be swapped for better ones later.

all guesses on my part

JIM H 11-30-2013 11:12 AM

This boat is sold. He keeps it on the hudson. He picked it up early summer.

superboat1989 07-28-2020 08:29 AM
