Superboat 24 standard bottom specs
 

I have redone the bottom of my Pantera (extended the inner strakes and redesigned the Delta pad and a complete blu print of the running surfaces) but would like to try to extend the inner strakes even some more.

I have seen a different looking 24 Superboat bottom that has the inner strakes extended until about 10" from the transom.

Anyone of you guys know anything about this mod?

I'm about to make some prototype strakes to test with but I'm afraid the boat will have a very hard time lifting the bow and instead over planning.

Has anyone heard of any other mods done to the Superboat (or any other 24x7 for that matter) bottom?

Tomas you know I've read your build thread and your running 80mph on a stock 496 . Unless there's a characteristic about your boat that you don't like I would think that your running as fast and efficient as any 24/7 has or can run .
On a side note its so beautiful I would hate to see you cut into it . And if you do , would you strip and flip or lay on your back and do the dirty ?

The Pantera is wonderful as it is but I want to get the absolute most out of it, before I put too much work into props :D

If I extend the strakes I will do it on my back this time, I will make a mold and prefabricate the strakes and then glue/laminate them to the bottom. Since the bottom is perfectly straight since I took care of that part last winter it should be pretty easy to fixate them.

Someone must have some inputs on this, right?

You know there comes a point when you can do more harm then good. Your going 80 with a 496 in a Pantera ! Thats great ! If you take to much boat out of the water it could be an uncontrolable mess !! Could happen. If anybody know anything about lifting strakes it would be the Bat Boat guys. Those thing have more strakes then they do bottom surface . Good Luck O Yea Hows the 28 doing ?

That's why I'm doing some research now :)

I'm having a set of wooden strakes beeing made soon that I will glue or attach in some temporary way to the bottom and will do some testing. Unfortunately I lost my good prop so I will need to get another one before I can do any testing..

A Bat boat is a completely different creature so I can't really use much from there besides some small tricks Ocke used.

The 28 is sold a couple months ago!
