Thanks for the input but a decision has been made, gimbals take a HUGE beating in the offshore environment, the last thing it needs its more leverage. The SVL has a lot less power, will never turn as hard and weighs quite a bit less

That's quite a unique color for the hull!

TeamSaris 02-05-2014 09:52 PM

Its going to be a GULF Racing themed boat, similar to this Arrow/Magnum

Looks just like my bottom ! Maybe you should try and fart and blow some of that smoke Coen blew up your a$s back out .... Traditionally a boat would have to be flipped over to blueprinted . There are some who have had a death wish and have done them on jacks or yardarms while laying on their backs HOWEVER you CANNOT blueprint a hull hanging from a strap ..... Three big reasons : you would have to be one hell of a big boy with arms the size of tree trunks to be able to block sand a hull bottom upside down : The boat would be swinging all over the place while you were trying to block sand it : And one that nobody can argue with is the fact that the strap its hanging from would be in the way of a straight edge and you couldn't sand around it ..
If You've been told there's a change to the bottom they should be able to provide prof of the change . Blueprinting cost , If someone told me they were blueprinting my hull and I couldn't be there to see it being done I would want some before and after pic's .. Just Saying

What is your problem? I'm personal friends with both the Coen's, know them VERY well and trust them completely. Frankly, if this is your attitude, there is no room for you on this thread.
1. It WAS flipped when it was blue printed
2. I'm aware of the changes, I know what they are, does it mean I have to publicly post them? No. Its being built for competition uses.
Any more questions?
We have been in the rigging/building and racing business for over 30 years. If you really think we can be "tricked" or "fooled" this easily, you're mistaken.
If you want to see a killer raceboat come to life, stick around. If you are only here to try and pick it and the Coen family apart, leave the drama elsewhere man.
