Does "stock sealed power" mean black motor? Don't see many with a 496 but here's one you may have already seen.....

Don't know anything about the boat, just saw it advertised. Also know nothing about POP yachts. Their adds confuse the heck out me, they want you to hand over too many details before you can see the pics. They seem to have every boat in the U.S. on their inventory. Not saying they'e good or bad, just confusing...?!

P.S. May be just me but little alarm bells go off when the "seller" says 38 hours on a 10 year old boat and claims 84mph, which sounds a lot faster than anyone else's!

Good luck in your search.

I was thinking the same but they don't say if it was a rebuild or new motor, bit vague.
Found a couple more photos (without joining their mailing list!)

The canopy looks very smart, wonder if it's a full race fit out. Might suit the buyer anyway?

Thanks and he's seen the ad for the 05' with 38hrs??? As for merc. power he'd rather spend the time on the water over wrenching on the boat. Thanks again

The 2 Thumbs-up boat came from the factory with the 496HO. Top speed was around 74, not 84. Saw him race in Maryland. At 74, he wasn't competitive in class 5. Think he only raced 1 or 2 race's. It's basically a stock boat. I think back in 2005, you could get a stock Y2K with a 496mag for 49,995. Another few grand for the tabs and engine upgrade to a HO

Good info FX10, thank you.
I guess the 38 hours is technically possible, nice to know it was pretty standard ex factory.
