I have a quick question how many 30ft Tempest superboats were produced. IO’s and outboards?

I’ve been told almost 30….

Mine is also a 1986 I was going to take it out for the Hudson Fun Run but was unable to make it !! Seen pictures of yours and the Y2K both nice looking boats

thank you. Yes , Brian’s boat is actually a Y2K with a tempest deck. I’m going to host a fun run on the Chesapeake Bay the 2nd weekend of May 2022 if you can swing it.

That’s crazy ! Only 30 boats in 20 years ! Has to be more then that ! They started the Tempest in the late 70’s and the last 2 made in 99

What Year did they start coring the boats with balsa ?

how many Superboats are coming? There was talk about hosting a group event in NY this summer on the Superboat Facebook group

We have squashed the May event on the Chesapeake....to many guys were not going to be ready. Regarding Superboats...Not sure how many we would have had. Will try to get something together soon. Of course we will be at The Hudson Run again in end of September beginning of October.

Guess No one really knows the production numbers. Outboard to I/O and twin to single!

John legend boater from Super boat could answer that one! As far as 30' Super boats I think it may be more then we know built? They are great boats seen bigger boats head back he finished a lot of runs! John went around Long Island to break records before most here were born! John Jr can also answer on 30' boats sold!
