Trying out a 30CC next week.

Was up on LI a month or so ago and visited SB. I was curious about the Black Label 29, but upon seeing the 30CC I got curious. John asked me about conditions where we use the boat and how we’d use it. He suggested the 30CC would be a better fit.
He invited me back up to have a ride in his son’s 30CC. Got a long NYC layover and if things go as planned (time to spare, go by air) I’ll see how that extra 6’ of hull over what my 24CC has affects the ride.
If I decide to pull the trigger I’m thinking the new 400 V10. John agrees and thinks it’d be a great setup.
Might be a 24CC on the market this fall.

Got a ride in John’s son’s 30 CC a few days ago. Very impressive! The weather was perfect for what I needed to experience with maybe 2’+ chop. The ride was much better than my 24 which is already very good. John Jr. had us running 60mph in those conditions up, down and with cross seas.
I was also amazed at how quiet the 350 Verado was compared to my 300XS.
Looks like a 24CC will be coming on the market in the near future.

I purchased the blue hulled 30CC that John has that is nearly complete. Just needs the console and interior installed.
The new V10 400R arrived at my Mercury dealer a couple days ago. All electronics and rigging will be done here in SC.

Had a long NYC layover last week so I hopped on the LIRR and took a ride out to Copaigue to check on progress. All the interior components have been fabled and are ready to install. The polished stainless Lectro racing tabs arrived a few days ago, John will be installing, but not wiring them.
