Cleaning....
What do you guys use for wax? I tried using Mother's But its very time consuming? Is there a better way? Show me the way!
I use this stuff called "Nufinish", it comes in an orange bottle and is cheap. It works great and it's easy to use.
Great, guys! Getting ready for Superfest. I'm proud of ya!
Mother's? That's old school car wax isn't it? Does sound like a PIA.
I used a $35 orbital buffing machine with 3M cleaner wax to get the oxidation off. Then just about any squeeze bottle wax with silicone every 3-4 weeks. Nufinish sounds good! Dave has about the cleanest boat I've seen, in pictures anyway... Will we get to see it in person at Superfest??? |
I use Collinite. Been using it for years on all my toys and love it. Almost downright dangerous on the decks.
I have used some liquid w/teflon. I think Sea-Brite but not 100% sure. It seems to last very well and is super easy to apply and remove.

Anyone know where I can buy a bug screen that would fit over the hatch of a 24'? Planning to do some overnights and I don't want to roast or be one big mosquito bite.
Do you mean the entrance to the cabin, or do you have a deck hatch on your 24? I don't have a deck hatch on mine. I do know you can buy sheets of mosquito netting at Walmart. You can cut it to size and just drape it ove the hatch.
I bought screen and velcro from Home Depot, I did the whole door and hatch along the inside. If you dont mind looking at the velcro it wooks just fine and we stay cool and bug free! Total repair cost $22...

Klasse does the best job I've found and it lasts longer than wax because it's Acrylic. It's easy to put on and take off and the shine is awesome!
