Cabin Doors/hatch Thickness

3 Attachment(s)
Yeah, I "measured twice". My jamb thickness is 3/4". Will probably have to router to fit, inside and out. Grab bars are a must, especially after sitting in the back of 21's. You can just get your arm behind the rear seat to tighten up the nuts. (I/O's are probably easier). Oh, like I said, I had to buy two new hatch supports (so they matched). My original(should match yours) you can have N/C . I"ll mail it to you. PM me your address. Any new Top Speeds to report? This is still my best. I went down with the motor hole mounting, and it's perfect. No prop slip, no losing prop bite, and can trim the shi* out of it to get the bow up there. My experience with all SUPERBOATS I have ever set up is that they like bow lift to run fast. The more you are able to trim 'em without prop slip, the faster they run.

Re: Cabin Doors

I want to add a 2nd hatch lid support so the star board isnt twisted looking when its up, cause I lay my bimini forward just behind the wind screen and when the hatch is up ( and it is open to some degree most of the time) it comes in contact with the bimini.

Superbash, send that support to OH-Zone...
I am going to use the spring style when I change out my hatch.

Yes, with some good chop on the river tonight, we did hit 70+.
I gotto fingure out how to have my gps hold the top speed like you're showing.

She just arrived & she looks sweet as candy. Just doing the cabin hatch lid in 3/4" St.Bd. I just picked it up. Weighs a ton. Door hinges would never handle it. Plus I need to stay lite. Competition.
- OH-ZONE, the OEM support is yours for the taking under one condition, POST SOME PICS for christ sakes already. Have yet to stumble across one of your 24 O/B.(I don't think you have one).

As soon as I see those pics posted, the hatch support is yours.
- Just got done adding a Voltmeter to dash, and relocated the ignition switch below it. 2 1/8 hole sawed it. Next is the 3/4" hatch lid, and last, mounting the stereo deck. I wanna mount it in the cabin somewhere behind the dash. Any pics or suggestions on antenna location from anyone?

Re: Cabin Doors

If you put your stereo inside you will want a remote.
I bought a stick on antenna meant for the inside of a wind shield. Stuck it to the wind screen; it works ok...

Just made the new cabin hatch out of the much debated 3/4" ****board,I mean starboard. Actually, it came out OK. She looks "factory". Hinges fit flush. She's much more rigid . I guess you can lean on it a little bit Pat. Should have been built right from the factory(a whole 75 bucks for the s.board plus adding 2nd liftapprox. $130 total) . I added the jambs so the doors shut against something instead of flapping around. Onto the stereo install... Crummy weekends are great for SB "mods".

Re: Cabin Doors

I like the latch you used.

Re: Cabin Doors

That rubber latch is what JC put on. I don't like it. Flimsy.
