Hey guys ,
New motor, new XR drive , new blueprinted bottom(second time Ive had the bottom blueprinted), and new mortgage to pay for it !
My wife and I will be racing OPA P4 again this year. It sure would be great to see a few superboat fans ! OPA races are all within a few hours of long Island and there will be a race on the long Island sound this year. OPA is very informal and friendly, a day at the races can be a blast and all including kids are welcome ! If anybody wants we often have pre race party tickets left over and would gladly give them out first come first serve , I have no crew besides Jessie(my wife) and sometimes my kids so I kinda do it all myself , come and give a hand! Maybe a shirt in trade for a hand in the dry pits!

Jim sounds like you have it done right. Your enjoying yourself doing want you like and with the family to boot! If I were closer I'd throw in a hand ...but I'm a little too far away.

Dave, cambridge was an awsome race site we wouldnt miss that one, and let me know if your going to be at any of the races and I will try to hook you up with party passes and a hand would always be appreciated.And Tripps and Zuper better be at the long island sound race!

THATS perfect!!!! and ya know what? I used to work at Mcdonalds,1970,made a big 1.65 a hr,and made the best Tripple cheseburgers!!! Hey,maybe thats where i got the name,Tripps,I always thought it was from 3 mercs on the back of my boat!! Yeah,zuper and myself better be there at the LI race. How far is Cambridge from LI? Tripps

Hey Zup,
Cambridge was an amazing site , its worth the ride , the hotel was brand new ,beautiful , great marina, several good restaurants reasonable and great for kids! It is a long ride (took me 6 hours pulling the boat).
The jersey races are just 2 hours from long island, and they put on a great show. The racing is close to shore and the boardwalk is a good vantage point and lots for the wife and kids to do if they got bored!
We are going to try and make the south shore run with the fountain gang , boats running good but still lots of bugs to work out,

Superfest ? whos talking superfest? I have to redeem myself!

Hmmmmm, as I recall there was a handsome devil cut out of the side of that picture :D Jim, glad to hear you are ready to roll, this year is gonna be great for the OPA. Thanks for the good word about Cambridge, we plan on doing it bigger and better this year. Can't wait to have you back. If there is anything you need, feel free to contact me direct and we'll hook you up. I might even be able to scare up a couple of guys to keep the wife safe from all the Eastern shore guys while you're wrenchin on the boat:p

Yeah, we got it. Right now the transom work is done but it has been put on hold since we are building a new shop(twice as big) so we are waiting for paint and rigging after the new shop is done. The permit process kicked our a$$ to build this thing- I mean why should the county want a business to expand and make more money-right???
