Looking for 24' Superboat
1 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know where this boat is now?
I spoke to the owner about two years ago when he had the boat for sale. At that time it was in Maryland. |

That boat was sold. Where it is now???
Are you looking to buy a 24' Superboat? |
I know the boat was sold. I was very interested in the boat a few years ago. I am currently trying to sell my Magnum. I will be looking for something a little smaller and with a single engine.

I hear you man, twins can eat your lunch...:(
I went from a 28' Cig down to a 24' Pantera and now a 24' Superboat. Half the gas and maintenance, just as much fun...:) |

I get in trouble with JO when I answer this question...
I went from a 1989 24' Pantera Sport to a 1997 24' Superboat. Biggest, but not only reason was the cabin. The cabin in an older 24' Pantera sport is like crawling into a coffin. The 24' Superboat has a vary functional cabin for a boat of it's size...:) |
OK,
You said 2 words, OLDER, and SPORT So, how does a newer S/E compare to a superboat cabin?? I dont want to get you in trouble with JO, so PM me if you would rather, Sorry JO, just have never seen a Superboat in person, so I am curious. Rick |
Pat,
Exactly what I am thinking. I love my Magnum but, being on a lake I don't need the safety and power of the twins. I spend a great deal of time detailing and fussing. I would also love to be able to get into an engine compartment without being a contortionist. I have been thinking about the 24 Superboat and 24 Pantera. I am glad you posted regarding these two boats. I am especially concerned about the cabin as it is needed for me and the ms's for our after nooners.;) I really liked that 24 in Maryland. It had a great Zul engine in it. |
Check out this thread and you will get an idea of the Pantera 24SE.
|
I have not ever seen a Pantera SE in person.
I would imagine that the cabin is similar to the Superboat's. In 1987 John changed the deck on the Superboat to give better access to the cabin. The older Superboat entrance is like the Pantera Sport that I had and others that I have seen. If you do plan to use the cabin for anything other than storage, buy a 1987 or newer Superboat, or a newer Pantera SE...:) |
Hey Stormrider,
Nice Boat! Good luck with it! After seeing pictures of Stormrider's, I would say his Pantera cabin is more plush that my Superboat's. I like the facing seats in mine better though. Superboat has two facing seats that are cut down and angled giving more head room. They work well when you are changing you clothes...;) |
The owner of that boat was a guy named Bob. He lived in Ocean City, Md. I remember talking to him about it at a race about three years ago. Try asking OSO member "Hot Duck". He lives in OC and might know the previous owner or who he sold it to.
