Nothing major. The engine oil cooler is not large enough. I can't keep the revs up very long before the temp gets up. Pretty shure there's a standard Merc. 525HP cooler on it. I gave the boat back more than a week ago and he hasn't done anything yet.

Tom where is the sender for the oil temp. mine was in the filter and not getting a true reading. I put it in the oil pan where it belongs and the oil temp yesterday after running 5500 for 20 minutes was 260. Not to bad for not running synthetic. Also in Ny the temps are cold so the oil temp thermostat is a must, keeps the oil at 200 from 3000 rpm up to 5500 except for a 20 minute blast.

Hey ZZ, the sender on my engine is in the block. I believe it is in one of the ports that would be used for a cooler on a truck. Did you put your sender in where the drain plug would be?
Changed my oil yesterday; fresh Mobil 1 15-50... :D
Pulled the mufflers out for a test too... :evilb:

Mine is in the pan. Temp gets up close to 300 if I don't back off to 3500.

Hydromotive says I should be running thier nosecone at speeds above 90mph. $100 bucks and maybe a few mph more. Anyone have an opinion on thier suggestion?
He also said his Quad4x prop is a couple mph faster than a Bravo1 and doesn't need labbing.

Fasteddie said that the Hydro was a little faster on his boat and we also know that Jcap like the 5 blade Hydro.
I had a nose cone on my Donzi and I thought it was a PIA. The bondo to fill the seam was always coming off. When it was faired nice and smooth it was worth 1-2mph.
Ask over on TQ&A...

$$$ 100 for a 2-3 mph gain seems like a great deal. I thought the 5 blade hydromotive was the way to go ???

I ran the Hydro PX-5 26p and it was no good. I lost 7 mph off top end and about the same cruise. Compared to a Bravo 1 28
