The west coast boats are a bit different with lots of in-the-mold gelcoat graphics.
Dave's Custom Boats is currently the leader in outrageous ultra-custom boats at that show. The hot rod LA Boat show is really something special. But I really don't see anything quite like the Y2k on the west coast. (Maybe JC needs a west coast dealer?) On the west coast maybe the Warlock 29 or a Larry Smith Scarab but the SB Y2k really has it going on! The F1 boats that Imco and also Teague campaigned a few years ago were the fine-performing Phantom 30 which is built in Florida. I know they guys at Imco raved at how stable and fast it was. I wonder how the Y2K compares. They both have unique hull bottom approaches. I'll be going to the LA show too. :) |

The phantoms looked cool.Like a corvette speedster with the cot pit.Not much usable space for a 30.I'm thinking its a bit liter than the y2k,the side look lower giving you less free board.Maybe I liked it so much because of the Twisted Chicks boat.
You have to get some picks of some MAGICS, I don't know anything about the boat but they have some reallllyyy cool tribal flame graphics. |
