Maybe he's seen her up close? It does look a bit off from the norm...kinda like my 18 Gran Sport (pics w/dog and wife) but with a longer bow. Other 20' Sutphens I've seen have a more modern look with a raised stern section. Anyone? |

Latest 39 delivered by Richie Sr this past December. The owner has owned several Sutphens. This boat approaches 80mph with some more prop testing needed.

Yeah, that quad egg-beater Sutphen is pretty sick, but I'm still voting for "Nasty" the V-12 Lambo powered 39.
Why (4) 250 outboards? Wouldn't she be faster and less weighty with (3) 300 ProMaxes? What's the logic? |

I'd say pure bragging rights of something very different. The owner wanted 87 octane with stock warranty and the new 300XS are not available yet. You probably have a good point though.
I've heard Lambos before and they are sick engines but I'll take the quads. |

The 4 eggbeater boat belongs to a friend of mine. He has owned/owns a few Sutphens. He has a pristine 31 with twin 300x's at his cottage north of Toronto. He has had a 39 with quad V8 Johnsons, a 39 with twin merc 900's and 6 drives which is for sale at double R performance. The New 39 was ordered because his insurance co was being a PITA about taking his new poker run boat, a 1075 sci powered Nortech 43 back and forth to FLA for winter use. If you ever have a chance to talk with him, he is a true gentleman and BOAT NUT! but beware, you may find you're talking to his twin brother.

I was going to post a vid of an Ocean Pacer but if you guys can't appreciate early 90's music then ... :D The vid this came from is an hour long of this same music so ya gotta give me some credit for enduring it! Oh those Lambos did sound good - few hundred yards away was the Hustler50 with Lambos.. :cool:

ERINE OWNS THE 1ST 32 ,I believe it started out with his old 850hp blower motor did 84or 86mph thats about what the blue and white one has now. ERINE WHICH IS THE BOXER PUT IN A NEW 1000HP MOTOR TOP SPEED NOT KNOWN YET.

Coughlan Machine Is The Engine Builder For Both Total Return And Boxer In The Pic Thats Total Returns Old Set Up Was Like 700hp Now He Has A 871, And Boxer Is A 1071 Tom Coughlin Does Nice Work. And Getting A Ride In The 32 Boxer In Big Seas I Can Say Its The Badest Single I Ever Rode In. Art

Thanks for the comments! It has a pair of fresh 454's that have been cammed and some headwork done..... Drives are TRS's right now but looking at changing to Konrads.... Any comments on Konrads??? On GPS it hits 73mph. Need to play with props now to fine tune it a bit..... I have some better pics with the boat a good 6' out of the water that I will post later today!
