Default Black carbon smoke, rough running and water on air horn??

I took my 20 sutphen out today.
completely new engine, exhaust etc.

Cruised aorund a bit at low rpm.

Brought it up to 4000 and cruised around all of a sudden its breaking up like crazy, blowing black smoke, so I figure choke blew closed( wired open) and thats that.
Well I limp it to the dock. Pull off the air cleaner and the choke is still open but theres water all over the air horn.

Anybody got any Ideas?

Reversion?

Water in fuel tank?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am lost we don't see stuff like this in drag racing.
Thanks \
Jeff

Heres my cam specs Seems small and docile to me and I didn't thgink itd be a problem.
Let me know what you think.

>447 lift
>291 adv duration
>222 lift at .50
>114 LSA
>78 deg of overlap

If this ius an issue can I tame this witha rocker change?

I know it will increase lift without moving duration much but will it change overlap?

Doesn't seem to me like it would.

I checked my oil and its still clean as it was in the botttle.
I am pulling plugs now.

Please interject opinions I am lost on this type of issue.

I want to get this thing back in the water and have some fun with it.

I got it figured out.
At least most of it.
It was a sikmple needle and seat issue as for the carbon and breaking up.
What the water on the carb air horn was all about I still have no Idea.
No one seems to think that cam should be an issue with any exhaust riser.
