Christian, Ya, It's Notorious, I went back to "INFERNO" due to the heritage. WS,What do you mean backing plate's ? Remember these are TRS's , but are you talking about transom plate's? Just got me wondering! And yes I'm doin' a partial re-store ,Drives,All fuel line's,Wiring, etc., Going to 383 Small Blocks next yr. ,Possible 406's.

Dave, hi.
How can you fill the drives if you need to top off the drive oil ? I think what Wade was asking was- is MRD or you going to replace what looks like washers and lock nuts with a alum backing plate that goes between the inside transom and the drive line on each drive? The inside transom plate distributes weight and pressure much more evenly then large washers and locknuts by themselves and also has a oil tank so you can check and add oil to the outdrives while inside the boat. I wish i had dig pics of mine... Hope its going great cant wait to see more pictures building motors as we speak for TOASTY. Just need to find a good bolster shop to make anew 3 man... If MRD is doing the work they know what they are doing so there must be a reason to not have the plates
