hey dave...
my boy turns 2 a mere 6 months later than yours...these little guys are kind of cool,eh? jeff... bet our girls would like that beach in branford huh... you've got to bring the 20 down this summer.... the first sutphen i ever wanted was a kaama 33...which later sunk off LI, drives fell off, poor quality mounting bolts....yikes... still want one...anyone know the 33 in sterling, ct? |
Yeah The branford spot is great I will definately be kicking it down there at some point.
I was down at deans garage today. Motorcars in farmigton. I guess he is considering selling his 26 RR with ourboards. Its a nice red and white 26 you probably know the boat. Hes got a nice shop over there and does some nice jag restorations I'd more likely make my way down that way on my brothers 32 fountain fever unless I towed down with the 20. too long of a ride in the sound for the 20. If I remember correctly its a long ride. I haven't been out there by boat since the late 80's |
Sutphens
Anybody remember the Twin engine 2.4 Outboard sittin' in the showroom of Offshore- Speed & Ski? Jim took me for a 85 mph ride in snotty water. That 20' was bad Azz!

That must have been one bad 20 I can't imagine mine with that kind of power out back.
|
was that back around 99 up in winsted when they had that little guy, with the purple and pink splashed 33 in the show room, and the blue and yellow 39 in the basement (along with the p-?class campion that sat on 44 until they folded)? my buddy ran the 39 from old saybrook to plum gut running around 70...said it begged, no shrieked, for more power....felt so smooth you could roam around and let the boat run itself..
the 20 there looked pretty sweet... |
My brother said that when that place folded they had boats sitting outside with feakin mold growing on them for a year or so. He said they were just rotting out there.
In winstead any one else see this??? |
Totally remember that boat in Winsted! Just below the lake right on Mainstreet of rt 44...Damn that was awhle ago. My buddy Mark Newbury, a crazy Iraq vet - who recently passed away had a place on the lake, and we partied our brains out there...Sick!

That sucks. I run the sutphen up there at highland lake from time to time. I spend alot of time on that lake with my GP1200 waverunner though. Its a good time and there are some wild people up there at the right times. |
