Congrats on the wedding. I figured I'd let you know about the old Sutphen since you liked it almost as much as i did.

Since this thread wasn't actually started by the owner of the boat, perhaps this hijack won't be too out of line. How about this one Len?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/30-Ve...3A1|240%3A1318

It seems like a lot of equipment for $20K if you like the colors.

I know that boat. Its local to me and I know the family.

It had some really stupid and minor carb issues last year that made the boat a nightmare for the owner, but it was a simple fix really.

The boats always out on the water so I doubt theres any major mechanical issues.

I can find out more if needed because My friend is at his marina but over all I felt it was good boat with minor issues.

At one point someone had expressed to me that the owner had an interest in a trade for my boat, but I am not really into that type of race set up.

It seems like alot of boat for the money to me though.

Are 30' Velocities any good in rough water? That does look like a good deal (if you overlook the paint), but my sense was that Velocities were calm-water boats.
