32 singles
Does anyone have any pics or details on the two 32' singles that were built?
Total Return & The Boxer |
I dont understand the sudden interest in single screw boats?
I always hated having a single and couldnt wait to get a twin screw boat for ease of docking etc. |
I agree. I've always had twin performance boats and like them a lot. The thought that you would spend half the money on upgrades, maintenance, and rebuilds is what is tempting to me. If I can still run people down on one engine at half the cost, I'm ok with that.:evilb:I sold my boat so I'm just kicking around some thoughts in my head.

You need a big single to get 32ft moving... that's $$$ there over more mellow twins... and one drive... at a time. :D
I'd much rather have twin 550s w/ bravos than a 900 w/ a 6. Bout the same money for either too. |

my dream boat would be to call rich and say build me a 33 with a single 700 or bigger, bad ass drive and in the extra space under the hatch i would have a small genirator to run my flat screen, fridge, ice maker and air conditioner. yes i said it, id love to have that. all the big boat features and still crush waves and run 70+. hell for ease of docking. Rich, put a bow thruster in it plese!!
problem is, right now its all a dream. |
the 32 that was for sale is sold went for 55,000 and a deal. I was told no power or drive a 32 with cabin around or at least 75,000:eek:. I did not get my cash together quick enough to bid on the 32, theres a twin set up hull in the shop which could be turned into a single blank hull with gas tank around 60,000. to much for me. but I found out if I buy a used 30 to take the gas tank out and put a new one across the back seat thats where they are on the new 32s for balance, I my still go that route or make a offer on a unrigged boat I am looking at. my motor had some changes so not done yet but will be about 1100hp on 93 pump gas. and I bought a konrad ace drive xfactor. and hope to run in opa next year in p5 with back up motor 509, or blower motor in p4:evilb: erine is going to have boxer out on the water I think this week he has been playing with motors too.:coolcowboy: his 850 did 85mph and he has a new 1200 or 1300 hp motor he has been building:evilb:. if the 32 was for sale earlier this year for the asking price I would of bought it instead of building my new motor and drive set up:grinser010:. that boxer runs good in the rough but the guy knows how to drive too, not like somepeople I know:eek:. all right going to outerlimits for a tour now with a skater bro later art

Why not go out boards and have all the extra cockpitspce and atill have the added features of twins or tripples or a single You could change it up anyway you want
and something about one big motor gets me going, i just like the idea, its something i have had built in my head for a few years now, just not making any money. lol |
I see, I am just not a guy who likes the single engine deal.
I wasn't an OB guy either until this boat. now I am hooked. Looks like the REEL MC COY out in canada sold recently anyone know who bought that one? Twin 300 X's on a 31 spirit. Nice boat IMO |
James Gangs boat is the ultimate in OB performance in these parts I beleive. Althought that 39 with the quad OB's looks pretty sweet too!

Isn't the TKO 39 for sale? Anybody ever find out how much they are asking?

yeh but the 39 ob only hits 80 and TKOs is over a 100 with twin big blocks, I am still looking for a 30, to make a single out of.
Especially with all the fast OB boats on scream and fly etc. Are we comparing apples to apples or apples to oranges, isnt TKO a full race boat with blueprinted hull etc. and race engines compared to a pleasure boat with stock engines? Either way though the added room is hard to argue with when rafting up and partying. Plus the abbility to stand up and work on stuff rather than being a contortionist. our old 30 with BBC's was a nightmare to work on under the hatches. I know I'll never win this debate and theres good points to both sides but after owning an OB boat I would find it hard to go back without missing the features of an OB boat. |

I just sold my 32 ft cruiser this weekend and sold my Magnum last year as you know. Take your time a buy what you like as its easy to buy and hard to sell. man it seemed it took forever to sell my 2 boats. Now that the last one is gone im able to buy |
Len, you still looking for a 3man?

Also thinking of a larger boat even if it dose not have power if the deal is right. |
[QUOTE=30ctsutphen;2928300]I would have thought the OB's would be faster.

I think WALTER got screwed so they went to SBI. I know I'll never win this debate and theres good points to both sides but after owning an OB boat I would find it hard to go back without missing the features of an OB boat. |
looks like with 1000hp the new 32 will run mid 90s, boxer was at 92 last week still playing with set up.

Oh, and there is never any way on the planet that you save enough money on oil changes and s[ark plugs to pay for 1 screwed up #6 prop. If it made sence, more people would do it. |
